This kit contains everything you need to present a program on general nutritional information about diabetes and to empower individuals to make behavioral changes that can reduce the risk of diabetes and its complications.
Through this program participants will learn basic information about diabetes and its complications, ways to prevent diabetes, and the importance early screening. They will also participate in preparing and tasting healthy versions of traditional recipes. The program allows encourages participants to share their ideas and experiences with the others in their group.

The program is presented in three lessons – Diabetes Awareness, Changing Your Behavior Can Reduce Health Problems, and Be Proactive About Your Health. The package includes a 126-page leader's guide on CD and a Power Point presentation for the three lessons, along with printed and PDF versions of the poster, the 8-1/2" x 11" color recipe sheets, and 25 sets of recipe cards for each of the 11 recipes.
